A lifelong Oregonian, Bill Johnson has farmed, skied, biked and relentlessly explored the mountains, meadows, and roads of the Beaver State. And he loves sharing what he knows with his clients. A hard-worker from his earliest years, young Bill was farming full-time alongside his dad on the family farm in Sherwood, Oregon, by the age of 12. When he entered the Navy at the dawn of the computer age, electronics became Bill’s next passion. After military service, he joined IBM and grew through the ranks for more than 30 years, specializing in networks and project management. When retirement came for Bill, it didn’t last long. A longtime supporter of the nonprofit Habitat for Humanity, he began working several years ago at the organization’s store in Portland. Then his love for his home state and matching properties with people made real estate a natural fit—despite the fact that he jumped into the field at a slightly tenuous time in the nation’s economy. Always up for a challenge, Bill’s extensive professional experience has enabled him to better serve his clients and continually grow as a realtor. Married since 2006, Bill and his wife, Bonnie, love exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest any way they can. They show their elegant Salukis in regional dog shows, enjoy long bike rides, run a bicycle-donation program and, as volunteer hosts for the Mount Hood Ski Patrol volunteer host program, are regulars on the mountain’s slopes. But after their long, busy weeks of working and volunteering, one of the couple’s favorite ways to relax is to brew a perfect cup of coffee on a Sunday morning and simply drive around their beloved Oregon, checking out the properties for sale.
