David Phaff

David Phaff was just a kid when he got his first taste of the housing industry. At age 10, he landed a job sweeping the floors for a builder. He later worked as a carpenter and contractor. It was this early exposure that planted the seed for his eventual career in real estate, a path that allowed him to pursue a passion for community involvement and use his construction knowledge to the benefit of his clients.

“My motto is to provide ‘Simply Spectacular Realty Services,’” David says. “I focus on educating my buyers and sellers on the process and understanding where they are in their lives so I can properly manage their needs and expectations. I want them to feel confident and understand what they’re doing so that when we get to the closing, it’s relatively effortless.”

David primarily serves customers from Albany to Saratoga. First licensed in 1977, he spent years in sales and marketing before embracing life as a full-time REALTOR® in 2002. During the interim period, he also invested in real estate and worked as a construction consultant, further refining his skills in customer service and design – expertise he brings to his business today, along with a sense of humor and uncanny ability to talk like Donald Duck (for the kids, of course). Just one year after becoming a full-time agent, he was named his brokerage’s Rookie of the Year. Now he’s in the top 1 percent regionally.

David’s drive, patience and passion for the industry – not to mention experience in a variety of related fields – don’t go unnoticed by clients. As a result, they don’t hesitate to send referrals his way. Despite a plethora of rave reviews, David is always “in awe” when clients refer him to their friends and families. “It’s humbling,” he says. “I don’t take it for granted.”

When he’s not working, David’s involved with several national professional groups and volunteering. One notable commitment has had him serving for the last 17 years as manager of the rock stage at the Irish 2000 Music & Arts Festival, one of the top five festivals of its kind in the country. But no matter where he is, his phone is never far behind, as he knows being available to clients during such an important time in their lives is critical – even after regular business hours.
